Exporting to quicktime

Post by Greysnarthur »

Does anyone else have problems exporting from Anime Studio.

Whenever I try 'export', after a few seconds the application quits.

I've read of someone having similar problems on lost marble and batch export was suggested.

However, although Anime Studio goes through the process of exporting – up to 100% – once finished, there's no exported file 'in the project folder'.

Any ideas.

It's a 3.4 meg file with 19 layers, including a folder containing a further 30.

Any suggestions welcome.

What operating system? There is an updated Mac OS X executable on these forums that fixes a bug on OS X 10.5 and a recent version of Quicktime.

If you're using Windows, you may have found a new bug.

NetGenSuperstar

I'm using 10.5.4 so if there is a compatibility problem that could be the problem.

I'm trying now with H.264 and it seems to be going.

The odd thing is, a few weeks ago there were no problems.

Thanks for your help.

Then this sounds like the same issue. The original topic made about this bug is here:

Did you upgrade QuickTime during those few weeks? That may have been what caused it.

All seems to be working fine.

Thanks NetGenSuperstar for your invaluable help, and apologies for the slow response. A combination of a family trip to the beach and more time than I'd have liked sorting out exactly what I should be doing.

Thanks.

Ha ha ha you ran into the same problem I ran into and nearly caused me to pull my hair out.

Firstly I suggest getting 5.6 version of the program because it solved my problem.

If the problem still persists, the BATCH EXPORT - it will render and then not leave you with a file. Why? You need to add .MOV to the end of the filename when it asks you where to save the movie file. Something like 'pieceofcheese' won't work. It has to be 'pieceofcheese.mov'

Cool.
