Select a shape's points

I would love to be able to:

- select a shape
- click something which then selects the points which make up the shape

Maybe there's already a way to do this?
(I am willing to risk the embarrassment,
would be happy to be told it's already there.)
I know you can set up selection sets.

Fazek's modified translate points tool does this already. Just click inside a filled shape to select all of its points.

Everyone should check out the Fazek's tools.

Fazek is (or was) a member of the forum who was very skilled with the lua scripting language and created many very good replacement tools for AS. All of the tools in the tool palette used in AS are lua scripts. They are "plain ascii text", so they can easily be changed or modified or even replaced.

Fazek's tools are considered a vast improvement over the tools that come with AS. You can find them here.

I've clambered on the back of the Fazek bandwagon, so much so the front wheels are getting some air.

The select tool is so rad. No more endless clicking and swearing while trying to make shapes.

And the rotate tool! Move the center of rotation, THEN rotate!

When I reinstalled AS on my new PC I hadn't put in the custom tools for about a week and was using the old standard tools. Man! You forget how great those tools are until you don't have them. I can't imagine working with out Fazek's tools. Might as well tie one hand behind my back and wear a blindfold.
