Here you can see a picture of my actual Toon project with the cute Toon Baby (from 3duniverse)... or a small devil !?!
AS is perfect to create textures for 3D apps using layers above imported Template files. Then you can fill shapes with "Image texture" parameter.
Check "Tile" or "Stretch" following your aim...
Yes... ;o)
1- In the project settings of AS you give FIRST the same resolution than the template or the texture... for example 2048 x 2048 !
2- You drag and drop the template from the Explorer to create automatically an Image Layer.
3- You drag the Layer1 above the image layer.
4- Then you can draw exact (not filled) shapes because you can see the template under the layer1. At the end you fill these shapes with colors or with textures...
Or you can add pictures on another layer (What I did with the Yin-yang symbol) before rendering.
5- Save...
Finished !
I actually use AS to create black toon eyes for the 3D toon characters I bought (on the included textures).
Right , sorry I think I may have misunderstood the first post, I thought you were suggesting that you could apply they map as well in AS....my bad. Thanks for the reply 6
