I know this question must have been asked, but I can't find it.
Is there a way to preview w/o going through the whole Export Animation cycle? I hate not knowing what the effects like gradients and blurs are doing until I render the whole thing. If I take my project settings (768 PAL) down in resolution it changes how everything looks (blurring etc). Any advice greatly appreciated.
Maybe I can make some fan anime!!
...maybe it won't look retarded either...
Is there a Preview Window or do I have to Export Animation

oooh... No such button... Anime Studio 5
OH the F5 Key worked! This will save me hours! Thanks!
I'll probably be back later, I can't get anime quality. My vector layers are traced the colors are loaded in through the color palette via an image, so everything is about as close I can get to it, but still everything is so crisp and cut. The anime has more noise and artifacts in it. Maybe video compression will create some of this for me.
THanks again!

Those "artifacts" are probably film grain due to the hand drawn nature of the anime production or the age of it. If you want a "film" quality you could always add that with some other program in post. I wouldn't try to use compression to create that effect.Vandrian2 wrote:The anime has more noise and artifacts in it. Maybe video compression will create some of this for me.
If the original early creators of the anime genre had access to the digital equipment and quality we have now... I bet a lot of things would be very different about it. Many characteristics of anime are due to the cost and technical limitations at the time it was evolving. It's fun to emulate it but don't let it hold you back. You can easily produce high quality animations... go for it.
