I watched the whole video and I laughed out loud a couple of times. One of the stranger animations on this board, but I liked it. It's your own style and that's cool. As to working on getting your characters to walk better, I guess you can do that if you want, I don't see where that was a problem in this animation though. I don't have any advice about how to walk characters better as I am not interested in perfecting walk cycles and the like...but I am sure there are lots of advice on the board here, you can do a search on "walk" or "walking."
As to you needing a good writer -- why? Are you looking at trying to market and make money off your animations? Animators are a dime a dozen, Disney and all the "big guys" already have enough people groveling to work for them, I doubt they are looking for anything weird and original.
I say animate for the pure pleasure of animating. Write for the pure pleasure of writing. I like the writing in this animation -- it kept my attention for 9 minutes.
As to the animation, I especially liked how you animated the fire cracker fizzling out at the end. That made me laugh out loud. I also like the bird's heart beating out of his chest (with that wacky sound effect) and the "Poop" transitions.
I also liked the part where the bird tells how he tricked "Art" into thinking he had a job by calling him on a pay phone and asking "Do you want a job?" Art then says "I guess so." That was funny in odd yet sad sort of way. My dream is to have someone call me on the phone and offer me a job (even if it isn't real). Instead I am invisible and unemployed -- what a tragic combination. Well, not that it really matters...
Anyway, good job, keep on animating and writing if you enjoy it. I notice that animating sure does kill time, and I have lots of time to kill.
