I think they pushed the stylization of the characters too far.
You can oversimplify. You can distort proportions too much.
It happened here.
But, give them credit for doing something that harmonizes with the Gaelic art tradition.
I guess it does look a little better than some of the loosey-goosey, over-fussy Disney drawings of the past.
I hope the project comes out great!

Just a quick note about the film, I was the sfx supervisor on it and there are a few scenes in the film were we used anime studio, sadly not in the trailer though, but the programme came in very handy with the moving and animating of the textures and bitmaps, for grass and such.
