Vector software and natural media?

I was thinking of buying Corel Paint for backgrounds, but I first want to see if any vector software can simulate natural media. Which vector software does the best job of simulating natural media?

With Synfig you can do some intersting things. It is 2D vector and also it is a 2D animation software.

Maybe you're looking for an specialized software on that task.

For natural brush-stroked vectors, check out Creature House Expression. It's free and even has a Painter heritage. For info and download links, see this Wiki article:
