Video Jaggies

Post by madrobot »

Printing to DVD I am getting jagged edges.

I'm using "flicker removal" in field options in Premiere,
it's cleaning it up ok.

Thought I'd post this here to hear from people who may have
dealt with printing to video from ASPro or other animation apps
and encountered similar issues.

How did you get around it?
I take it it's an interlace thing?

I just render out of AS at twice the size uncompressed quicktime, import into iMovie, and render out whatever size I need, web or pal. Works pretty well.

DVD resolution is significantly smaller than TV resolution, = less lines. You very likely just see the inferior DVD quality which is, unfortunately, much more visible in animation than in life action.
