Character Rigging - Hierarchy Setups

Post by Blue »

I am hoping this thread might be a place to discuss character rigging, in the broader sense.

For example, do you have separate layers or files that contain Front, Side, 3/4 setups of your character? Or do you prefer one group layer with Switch layers to toggle between the different views? Do you consolidate facial features such as ears and wrinkles on the face shape or keep everything on separate layers?

I realize that your character setups might be different from scene to scene due to necessary situations, but maybe you have a particular setup that you use most often. I came up with a character setup outline that shows hierarchy as well as acting as a checklist. It's a work in progress as I continue setting up some characters I'm working on. And no doubt some of you will turn me on to efficient alternative methods.
