Hi guys. What I'm trying to do is relatively simple. I want the teeth of my character to be masked within the mouth shapes that are in a switch layer. I THINK I have layer ordering correctly set up but what I'm failing to achieve are the mouth's outlines/strokes rendering correctly where they interact with the teeth. Everything appears as I want it to onscreen but not in render - I know from reading the forums that what you get onscreen and when you render are not the same when it comes to masks but I can't get it to work whichever way I try. I'm attaching an .anme file as an example. If someone could download it and take a look to point out where I'm going wrong I'd appreciate it.
I'm using Debut Ver 6 if that makes a difference ( using a bone layer as a group layer to mask since those are not available in Debut)
I'm sure it's going to be something head plant worthy!

p.s sorry about the mediafire file but I don't have hosting at the moment
Masking Within Switch Layers

You need to adjust your hierarchy. Make a group for each mouthset within the Switch layer. See if this makes sense:

Bones
->Switch
-->Group
--->Vector
--->Mask

Bones
->Switch
-->Group
--->Vector
--->Mask

Makes perfect sense. Thank you. I had thought of putting duplicates of the teeth with the mouth shapes but my brain fell short of thinking to put them within their own group layers under the Switch!
Slowly working my way through the program features!
Cheers Blue! You saved me a lot of additional frustration.

I haven't tried this, but...you could also try using your original setup, and instead of using a Switch Layer to hold your Mask, just animate the visibility of the masks. To make sure this works however, you need to open the properties of the Mask layers and select "Allow animated layer effects".
