I need some opinion about backgrounds

After many attempts, I've made this backgrund:

It is made with a Genius G-Pen 450, ArtWeaver 0.5.
I used Airbrushes Fine Tip 10 for the sky, Chalks for the outline of terrain and oil pastels for the soil. Custom paper obtained from a blank bmp whit some noise applied whit IrfanView.
How it is?

I need your opinion about shadows and gradient in scenes like this. And color choices!

It's a fine drawing, it looks kind of "watercolor" like, will that fit with the style of animation?
