why does this keep happening - 3d scene question

Post by wolldo »

okay, I have created a 3d bus, importing 6 different images of the surfaces and adjusting them around to make it a box-shape. however, when the camera looks at the bus, the opposite sides are always visible over the top of the sides closest to the camera.

can anyone tell me how to stop this from happening? cause its getting to be very annoying. thanks

Hmm...

In project settings, make sure 'sort by depth' is turned on.

Then double-click on the bus group and make sure 'sort by depth' is turned on in depth sorting I guess, or you could arrange the layers so that the closest layers to the camera are on top of the stack, covering the lower layers in the stack.

I never quite figured out the 3D aspect to get it right. Took some fiddling.

There's also the option in project settings to 'sort layers by true distance' which you could fiddle with. Similarly, if you double-click on the bus group layer, in depth sort, if you enable sort layers by depth, you'll be able to click on 'sort layers by true distance'.

Check those out and you should come right.
