I was trying to use channel noise to animate teeth chattering, but it wasn't working because there is no control over which axis of movement the noise is applied to. It's applied to all. In the case of layer translation, it even applies to layer order, which I don't even have turned on. My jaw layer somehow was moving up and down in the stack, or in Z depth. I wanted to limit the movement to the Y axis, but it doesn't look like that's possible.
Can we have a feature that allows you to add noise to individual channels with more control. I would like to be able to see what this noise looks like on the time line too. I wanted to add a small amount of jitter but there isn't much control. Also the speed needs to be variable.
