Raise to front/Lower to back not available?

Fairly new to AS Debut, but something that seems basic is not available (greyed out in the menu).

Have two shapes in a new file (two circles), and I want to bring one to the front, so I select the shape at the back, but in the Draw Menu, Bring to Front is greyed out (can't be selected).

Must be something silly, but what can I try?

What I do is:

Open AS Debut, click on File, New - start from scratch, then do nothing apart from:

* Click on Draw Shape, draw two circles, one over the other
* Click on Select Points
* Click on the circle "behind" the other, so all points selected (ie. the shape)
* Click on Draw Menu, and Raise to Front is disabled, hmm......

Not sure why!

You have to select the shape with the select shape tool, not the select point tool. The shape tool is at the 'Fill' section of the toolbox.
