here is a little rig I made today, its pretty ruff, as a real dog has a much more complex walk cycle... but I guess its a good start.

I need to work on the legs some more... I will probably do it sometime soon.
this rig is for a new series I am working on, here is the link to a topic I started about it: viewtopic.php?t=15511
Thanks! Trey.

it looks like they bend wrong, but if they bend the other way, they are moving wrong.
if you look at a dog, the legs move backwards.
the reason this one looks a little weird, is the legs are not in the proper shapes... as in, just very long and narrow, with no real shape to them that real dogs have, and the joint in the middle of the leg is to high, they need to be lower, and the back legs need to be adjusted a LOT.
I will work on it more later... right now, my computer is falling apart, I don't have ANY space to work with video stuff, and I should be getting a mac soon... so I will keep Y'all posted...
Trey.

yeah, but their are some places where they hinge and make them look like they are moving the other way, so once I re-rig the legs, it should look a lot better... I am studying my dog while I do it too... so I should get it right once I get back to this rig...AmigaMan wrote:Hose1984Alberto is correct in saying the backlegs are bending the wrong way. The front legs are right for a dogs anatomy. Unless you are going for a really stylised dog walk of course. Animal walks are hard and you have got it walking.

I think both sides of the debate are right. It looks like there are two joints; the higher joint is a knee and the lower one is an ankle (where you would expect to find the knee). But I may be interpreting this incorrectly... I know nothing about anatomy.
