Post by patricia3d »

I have got switch_turn.anme file from the forum, I have forgot the forum link. While studying this file, I created one Square and
one Round with 4 Points 2 Vector Layers and put them in a Switch.

Please unzip and you will get switch_turn.anme

Original File has switch layer Turn Control
and I have created switch layer myTurn
I don't know why original Switch layer turns head smoooooooooothly and why mine is
not turning smoothly?

Have you selected 'Interpolate Sub-Layers' in the Switch properties?

If not,

Double click the switch layer to open its properties.

Select the switch Tab

Tick the box 'Interpolate Sub-Layers'.

Should turn smoothly now.

Hope that helps.

Interpolation on switch layers only works when each layer has the same amount of points.

Switch layers seems to not interpolate curvature.

I tried different ways, but its not doing. While study this, I found one more secret in this file that Just change the Name of Head Layer and the smooth turn will finish?

No, simply you have broken the current inserted keyframes. They are based on layer names. If you change the layer name the keyframes that references the old layer name are not changed.

The only way is use the curvature tool. Also I would use 1 frame actions for that task.
