Animation won't export on mac!!!

Post by JESUSfreakPUNK »

Whenever I finish an animation, I find that I must move the file to my PC to export it. For some reason, when I try to export the animation on my MAC, Anime Studio shuts down. However, exporting on my PC has never been an issue...Until now. My PC won't start anymore, and I have a great need to export my animations. Does anyone know why my mac wouldn't be exporting?
I'm using Anime Studio pro 5.6 on A Snow Leopard 10.6.2.
Yes, I know that 5.6 has some compatibility issues with Snow leopard, but I have also tried exporting my animations previously with Anime Studio Pro 5 on a MAC 10.4. The same issue occurs.

Hoping someone can help me,

Alix

OK. Which codec do you use to export with?
Does the same happen when you save a PNG sequence? (Test this with just a 1 sec file.)

It happens no matter which codec I try to export with, but I want to export in H.264.
It's working when I export as .png sequence (thanks for that!!!,) but I would still like to know if there's a way to export it as a quicktime movie on my mac...

AS 5.x and Mac don't really go too well together. I remember having a hard time with some 5.x version (I think it was 5.x) and trying to export on Mac.

6.x solves this problem, exports fine. Or make sure you have the latest 5.6 update, I somehow remember there was an update for 5.6 but I could be mistaken.

I'd upgrade to 6.x if possible, perhaps test the demo version of 6.x and export some material to see if it fixes your problem before upgrading.

OK; exporting to H.264 works here without a problem. So I suspect that your installation of Quicktime could be faulty. Try to re-install QT, then test again.
