Animating ON/OFF particles

Post by Mikdog »

Hi,

Call me a n00b but I'm not sure how to turn particles ON and OFF along the timeline in AS 6.x. I remember in 5.x it was pretty simple. Anybody know how?

I don't just want to make the group invisible because then for example if I have smoke, I want to be able to turn the source OFF so that the smoke trail will continue for a few frames and then dissolve.

Thanks.

It doenst make you a noob, its just we all were used to AS5.
The same thing happened to me.

Just make right click on the particle layer and then change the options to off or on, easy :) .

Also you can do this by selecting Particle layer in the Tool bar and then check or uncheck the option Particles on.
