How do I fade image layer?

Post by steve19 »

I know how to animate layer visibility, but I want to fade in an image. When i adjust image layer opacity it doesn't create a keyframe for it!

I need help fading in/out an image layer. I am using a png image.

Double click on the layer, it opens the property window.
Search for "Opacity" option on first tab.
You can use it to modify the transparency of the layer, (100% on first frame, 0% on last, the image will fade to black)

*EDIT*
Sorry, I forget to say you have to tick the "Allow layer animation" option
And that effect will work only on video and image format when exported. SWF Don't support such image effects.
Sorry for my bad english... Q_Q

Also note that image layer transparency doesn't show in the preview or workspace window. You must render to see it.
