Where are the tools in the tools palette? Getting started?

I just installed Anime Studio Debut 6on my iMac and i really want to get started with animating. The only problem is, all the tools are missing! Theres just a little empty box in the top left corner of the window labeled "Tools"... but theres nothing in it! Also, i dont know how to get to the introductory tutorial to get me started. So basically, i need help on getting started for a rookie, step by step, and i need to know how to get the tools to show up in the tools palette. Please, i really want to use this program. Thanks!
