n00b questions - opacity and colour

Post by mkbth »

I can't find answers to these in the Help or here, but maybe someone knows:

1) Can you animate the opacity settings for a layer? I know I can change the opacity in Layer Settings, but I can't figure out how to set keyframes to make the opacity change over time.

2) Is there a "Find/Replace Color" option hidden anywhere in the program, or does anyone know of an add on script that would do that?

Sorry if I've missed the answers to these and thanks in advance.

1. Layer tab, check "allow animated layer effects", set opacity to 0, go to any other frame, set opacity to 100%.

2. You'll do that with styles. Apply style to shape, animate or do whatever, change your mind and alter the style: all shapes with that style applied will change.

This is not animatable. If you want to animate a colour, just use the shape tool and change the colour somewhere in the timeline.
