Toon Effect

I have a 26 second AVI (the ocean in Willy's camp) and it lags real bad when I add the toon effect to it so I did as suggested by AS and rendered the movie with the toon effect as AVI. (just the water was rendered)

Here is where the problem starts. When I import the new movie with the toon effect I get that small icon one gets when you move a file and AS can't find it. Also the new file is 1.7 Gig.

Is there any way to give an AVI movie toon effect or did I do something wrong?

I'm guessing no1 had an answer but I found a way to work around it.

I imported the AVI to VirtualDub and got this error message but it opened it any way and fixed the file. I just saved the file from VirtualDub as a different name and it now opens in AS7 pro with the toon effect.
