I have a layer containing a bone layer which contains an image and another layer that is a switch layer. That is probably too much detail already. My problem is that when I move this layer to the left or to the right of center in the render frame, the image distorts. I assume this is a perspective warp thing but I do not want that to happen and I have been unable to stop ASP from doing this. Is it possible and if so how do I make it happen,,, or not happen, as the case may be?

image in layer distortions when moved
This is undoubtedly so dumb that I am going to regret asking but...

Moving the image out of the bone layer does not resolve the problem. However, since I asked the question I did an reducto ad absurdum exercise which kind'a exposed the likely source of my problem.
In using ASP one of the things that has always confounded me is that once I start using the camera and/or workspace controls to mess with the view I have of a layer or layers, there doesn't appear to be any way back to the set of coordinates that specified the starting state of a set of layers. I have tried Reset and Reset View on all layers and have manually reset all the values for scale, position, z rotation and xy rotation... to no avail. Once I have made changes with the camera and or workspace control there doesn't seem to be any way home.
And this isn't an altogether different question either because in my experiment it became clear that I do not have the image distortion problem until AFTER I mess with the camera or workspace controls. Subsequent to that I get distortion of the image.
