unable to open file

Post by sinclair »

The file I spent the last 2 days working on will not open. This was one of the first full files I've created in as7, I'm thinking the text I entered into one of the audio files (for a mouth switch) has caused this issue. I've tried importing each individual sound file into other AS projects to try to narrow down which one is the problem, but all seem to work fine (on there own) (they're mp3's)

My biggest concern is devoting time to another file just to have it crash again. I can deal with it if this file is un-savable, but because I don't know the cause of the problem I am very leery to start another project without knowing exactly what went wrong. (if it's bug or something I did)

Here is the link to the file (txt)

Any and all help is greatly appreciated-

S

I think this error is caused because AS crashed in the middle of saving the file. I know some good guys here know how to partially fix it using notepad.
Anyway, to avoid future problems I recommend you to always backup saving versions of the file. I know it's not a too fancy solution, but works meanwhile.

Because of issues in the past I already practice this habit. Both of my back up files suffer the same problem. I tried opening it in notepad and looked at the line that was giving me grief but have no idea what needs to be changed-

But it is valid advice Selgin-

When I had entered text into the audio layer I had left spaces between each line. Apparently AS does not care for that.

(fix was pm'd)

Again, thank you for the help-
