Red dot in the layers section

What is the red dot in the layers section? On the upper left of the logo Just right of the eyeballs and left of the layer name? One of my layers, one I'm haveing another problem with, does'nt have a dot.

Hopefully a solve to another problem. I cant find anywhere in the manual or quick start about this dot. Most likely I missed it but still :/

Addendum: This layer, the left hand, Also seems to not weld, when I tested the bones, the layer didnt even move. I checked it against the right hand and I cant see any difference.

The red dot means the layer is optimised for export as .swf file format.
