Does SMith Micro have an official forum for Anime studio pro

Post by mykylr »

Does Smith Micro have an official forum for Anime studio pro? I'm not comfortable using a forum that doesn't/can't keep its forums clean of garbage posts like this forum.

Getting annoying having to read and reread so i don't open up crap posts that have nothing to do with Anime Studio.

Cheers

I don't even know that Smith Micro thinks about Anime Studio in this way. This forum is a hangover from Moho days (the original name of Anime Studio), and, I believe, was started by Mike Clifton, the software's main (only?) developer. So Smith Micro's involvement here is in the fractions of a percent. My understanding is that this forum's software has never been upgraded (I could be wrong), and that keeping the forum free of spammers was down to some dedicated moderators, two of whom appear to have permanently left the scene. Nobody seems to be minding the store any more...

It ticks me off that I'm a buyer of Smith Micro products and have paid for each upgrade to Moho. I see orphan ware get more attention to customers than Smith Micro with AS.

I see there are still 5 spam messages in a row that have been up here for already 3 days and still going strong.

Either the moderators don't have deletion privileges or we need new moderators!

One of the people who used to moderate this forum has left because of the burden of keeping the spammers under control. This is misuse of people's generosity, when there are automatic aids to keeping spammers under control that aren't being used.

Moderators? How about SM getting someone to read the forum? 15 minute scan would get rid of 90% of the spam.
