Developer interaction

I've been frequenting the Reallusion Crazy Talk Animator forum of late, and one thing that has impressed me is the close interaction between the company and its users. This forum is fine, but there's no sense of the developers and users moving forward together, just program releases out of the blue with stuff in them that, personally, I don't need and won't pay for. There has to be a better way, hasn't there?

Just venting. I am clutching my version 5.6 closely to me as I write this...figuratively speaking...
