Animated GIF

How do you guys play animated GIF files on Anime Studio Pro? Do you convert them to AVI formats first? Any suggestions on good free converters?

AS Does not play Animated GIFs.

I know Super has been recommended before, but it hangs on me and for some reason it also causes an antivirus warning. I'd try Gimp first (I've exported but not imported yet, but I assume it should work).

I Do not get any warnings but for some reason the program does contact an outside source. I can see the window in my tray send and receive data when I open it. I always assumed it was looking to see if i needed an update. Also their web site has never never been reported to be malicious as far as i can tell.

But it is odd that it tells you to turn off your anti virus on slower computers. I usually just let it take its time to load, usually 30 seconds or so.

I do not really care if AS exports animated gifs but I do care if it did import animated gifs. I see so many people saying that animated gif color suxs, which I agree but I could use it many times and let me decide if it suxs or not...
