cycle opacity?

Hello y'all, I'm trying to create a cycling effect with tranquil waves breaking on the beach. Right now it's not so tranquil after the first cycle because the opacity isn't repeating. Does anyone know how to keep the opacity changing?

Right click on the last keyframe of the opacity channel in the timeline and set to cycle. choose absolute and cycle back to frame 1 options.

Weird. I'm testing on version 7 and opacity perfectly cycles.
Can you share the anme file to take a look?
