1. while running an animation when it reaches the last frame it will automatically cycle back to frame 1. How can I get it to stop at the last frame and not cycle back?
2. I have two scenes which I made separately. Lets say scene 1 ends at frame 240. How can I paste scene 2 at frame 241 without having to import each character from scene 2 into scene 1 at frame 241? I found I could do this by first rendering scene 2 in quicktime(or AVI) and then importing it into scene 1 at frame 241 but I didn't get a smooth transition. The copy/paste function only works for individual characters just like the import function.

Set the time line to 1000 frames and you will see the animation will stop. What you are seeing is, in AS the animation will continue to start back at frame 0 when your preset timeline length is reached.
For your scene, put all of it in a group folder and you can import everything at one time. You might have to do some layer scaling after you put every layer into the group.
Or...
Use a video editor and splice the scenes together there. This would be you best option.

Thanks for the tip about using the group layer to import a complete scene and attach it at the end of another scene. It worked. Cycling: I set the end frame at 1000 as you suggested, but it just went out to frame 1000 before it cycled back to frame 1. There should be a way to change the default from cycle to stop at the end frame. Thanks

Re: cycling animation and piecing scenes together
What you are asking is not going to happen, AS will always cycle back to frame 0. This really should not be an issue. All it is doing is playing the animation from frame 1-though what even you have set the time line to.alevinson wrote:Thanks for the tip about using the group layer to import a complete scene and attach it at the end of another scene. I am sorry but AS will not stop at the end of the time line as it is really not important to do so. I hope I am understanding what you mean.
