new barrage of how do I questions to come

Post by DaleG »

now that Im an official moho user I'm actually starting to try rendering things out that dont have that little trial version text written all over it.. the first little clip ive rendered goes by way too quickly.. I want to spread out the keyframes to slow things down.. and Im not sure if there is a way to spread them all out evenly so that clip remains the same.. just runs slower (assuming i keep frame rate preferences at 24)

more stupid questions to come as i try to get my first project accomplished.. thanks!

Hi DaleG

In the status bar in your working window in moho you can see at what frame rate the current animation are playing, often the frame rate is much lower, when you playback it in moho, depending on how much your computer have to work, then it will be when it's rendered.
You can speed up playback by changing the "display quality" in moho's work area window, it's at the bottom on the right side.

Good luck!

REALTIME PLAYBACK IN MOHO:
if u turn off most features like fills etc. until u only have outlines it works in real time for my pc^^

just a tip if u want to check it out yer welcome :D

8)

BUT: i think the original post was asking for a possibility to slow down the animation wich was created some way by tracking keyframes...
sorry, i have no answer to this, cause i make slow-motion after i rendered the project in my video editor (adobe premiere 6.0)

Or do you mean "Rescale Keyframes..." from the "Animation" menu? With this tool you can make your animation which currently goes from frames 1-90 to 1-270, effectively making your animation 3 times longer, with the action occuring 3 times slower.

I was actually referring to making it by stretching out the keyframes.. I'm doing a 3d animation similar to tutorial 5.8, but instead of trees, I'm placing images of the kids in the marching band, and I made a football field for the horizontal background. I want to start with an overhead shot, then kind of zoom around the kids on the field.. but I've just randomly picked frames on the timeline to place the camera animations.. and the camera moves by much too quickly.. I think if i just stretched out all the keyframes evenly. it would look pretty good.. what is the best way to figure out the timing for doing the 3d camera zooms.. or changing them if I want to? I suppose I could just run the animation in slow motion when i process it in FCP, but Id like to be able to figure out the timing when setting it up in moho.. if im doing 24fps.. should i just set keyframe at frame 24 if i want it to take place over 1s? If Im making a 5 min animation that will take 7200 frames total.. is that excessive? (long render times?)
thanks!

Jorgy's answer is correct. Use the "rescale keyframes" feature to slow down (or speed up) animation.
