seperating or merging vector layers?

Post by Tstyle »

I created my character and am proceeding to character set up; However it would make things alot easier in setting up my bones if I where able to seperate some of the elements on a vector layer onto their own layer. (when I drew the character I put both legs onto one layer and am having a hard time getting the bones to infulence them correctly).

This seems like a pretty basic function ala Photoshop's merging and copy/cut via layer function. :?: Help, I dont want to have to go back and recreate my character

and why cant u just separate them again?
or at least redraw them.
think doing so is better than blocking the production for another couple of years :D

I guess that's what I'm asking. If they are on a layer together now, how do i take one of the legs and send it to its own layer??

Select one of your legs - cut - create a new layer - paste.
