Follow path breaks

Hello,

maybe somebody knows this issue. I bound some shape to a path with the follow path tool. It's a rope, so it should match the path.

Now I encounter the problem, that the follow path breaks if I import the rope to another file and it also breaks, if I undo an animation step with this rope.

Does somebody know this problem and knows a solution to keep it working all the time?
