11 Second Club entry by neeters_guy
This is my second 11 Second Club entry since last November. I got to use smart bones quite extensively for the elbows and knees movements. Great feature.
Hope you enjoy and comments welcome.

So good!
It reminds me somehow the Smurfs...
I love the "bouncy" girl!

Great work neeters_guy!!!
Did you do the background in AS as well? It looks hand painted.
Cheers

Heh, I hadn't thought of Smurfs, but I do admire Peyo's art style.Imago wrote:So good!It reminds me somehow the Smurfs...

I created the background in ArtRage, a swell natural media program. Honestly, it's a lot looser than I like. I did it as a placeholder, but it's probably good enough for this contest.DK wrote:Great work neeters_guy!!!

Thanks for comments. I'll post the results next month.

Wow, thanks mikdog and beachbumlarry. That means a lot coming from such great animators.
One suggestion I received was to address "twinning". I redid some of poses to be more asymmetrical, as best as I could anyway (I really should create another view, but...

Results are in. Actually scored lower this time. I think I study up on making better acting choices next time.

Yeah Neeters, they are a little tough over there. Even the top ones were only getting like 6's and 7's. I went ahead and did one, ended up about where I expected. Actually just glad to crack top 100.
Been slowly working on this month's.

Nice one! Great character designs as always and I like the way she moves to avoid his arm gestures.

Thought I'd put all my 11 Second Club entries in one thread. Here's one for Aug. 2013.
I did this in 9.5 and I got to experiment using smart bones to create slight shifts in head movement, both vertical and horizontal.

Very realistic movement. There was one moment where the woman's head sort of squishes and then stretches - that really added some dynamics to this. Well done!

I like both the "lineless" animation style and especially the guys on the side with their tongues hanging out. Always a funny visual. Good job!mrmoi2000 wrote:I went ahead and did one

Results. I'm a little disappointed...my score is getting lower each time, but the feedback gives me good idea what I need to work on: Too stiff, too pose-to-pose, needs followthru and overlapping action, and less mechanical timing.

Incidentally, mrmoi2000 entry did well: http://www.11secondclub.com/competition ... try/TjTef7 Congrats!
