set/ group layers.

Post by eric1223 »

This is going to hard for me to explain what I mean. Sorry =(

Is there a way for me to group layers that I only want to use?

For example, I have about 1 millon layers, but I only want 10 to interact with each other, while the others do their own thing. I would like to put these layers in a group so that I would not have to see the other layers on the layers panel. This would make synching much easier.

There are group layers, yes, but only in Pro. In Debut you can use a bone layer as a group layer.

I know there are group layers. I Mean is there is A way to only make certain layers visa me on the layers panel. I'm not talking about the eyes or on the animation. I mean is there a to group layers on the layer panel to make them the only ones visable?

although, now nested layer control is possible, you could put all your sub layers in their own group and close that...?

That's what I recommend too in that case. Put all your 1 million layers you don't want to see into one group.

Layer compositions sorta works like how I was trying to explain animation wise, but I was wanted to make it so that the invisible layers aren't on the layer's panel. I think I might make ask there to be an option for that.

Ughh, sorry for all these questions, but I have one more for now. is there a way to select the bone tool without having to click the bone layer of my character? I often use the alt right click method, but when i press B after changeing some points, or alt clicking the bone, it doesn't select the bone tool.

Selecting the bone tool depends on what frame you are on. You can select the bone tool on a vector layer if you are on frame 0.
If you are on a frame higher than frame 0 the bone tools are deactivated on vector or other layer types. Is this what you meant?

Not quite. If I'm making poses with the bones, then try to alter the points, and then try to go back to the bone tool, I would usually have to go back to the bones layer to reselect the bones if i want to change them again. Is there a way to just click the bones?
