3d layering issue.

Post by Sage »

I am having trouble with AS 9.2. I just made a 3d object in blender. Exported as an obj. Uploaded into AS all fine. What I am trying to do now is put a vector drawing layer in front of it. When I do this and rotate both layers, or rotate the group layer they are together in, the vector layer is always on top of the 3d object. I have set in preferences to sort true distance, as well in the group layer under Depth sort. Is there a way to do this? Or am I missing another check box somewhere?

As Anime Studio isn't a 3D program it can be tricky to order 3D objects and 2D layers. It uses the 2D layer's origin point and this can be animated. I've also found playing with the camera's zoom can help, or just moving the camera rather than rotating the layers.
