won't render.

I have a character that is walking courtesy of the action panel. When I try and render it the figure does nothing but stand there. I was looking at the probhlem through the search and found someone that knew the fix to the problem. It was empeded option in the MB bone layer.
I don't know where to find the empeded option or the MB bone layer.
Your help is always appreciated.
