I can't color any shapes... Almost ever
Once in a while, i notice it has the right color but WON'T render it!!!
I've lost so much time on this!!!
Let's say i draw a circle. First i select a Style for color- let's say blue.
Then i draw a circle. I use Create Shape tool,
i outline my circle and click- now it has a red checkerboard.
I click on Create Shape tab above.
Once in a great while it works, but usually my circle IS NOT BLUE.
I click on Fill Bucket Tool; this NEVER WORKS!!!
So i click the color again, i click and click and click : nothing happens.
In tutorials, colors just appear when they finish the shape. I have no idea what color any of my shapes are, and they don't render....
What am i doing wrong?!!!!

On the top menu, does your version of AS have radio buttons for "fill" "stroke" and "both?" Maybe you only have stroke selected?

Re: PLEASE HELP GET COLORS!!!!
Okay, i figured it out. What usually happens is two dots near each other will imperceptibly have two lines between them. This fixes the fill. Although i wish i knew an easy way to erase single points.
When I rendered it to Quicktime, the shape was black but rendered transparent (but at least it was the correct color.)
The opacity is on 100....

Re: PLEASE HELP GET COLORS!!!!
Transparency could be coming from the layer or from the shape. It sounds like your layer's opacity is set to 100%? Is the alpha value on the fill set to 255?

Thanks for your help.
I got it to work by UNCHECKING effects.
When i don't use gradients, it renders okay...
Maybe there's a preference/project setting I should try...
