Can't marry PSD character layers to bones
I must be missing a basic step, although I have been following tutorials step by step, every time I import my character PSD from Photoshop and then add bones the way the tutorials instruct, when I try to manipulate the bones the bones move but the character parts do not. One thing that seems different in my process than what I'm seeing on tutorial videos is that when I import a PSD it seems to appear in Anime studio Pro 10 with a bone layer already made and the individual layers underneath the bone layer. Also there is a layer called "layer" which appears at the bottom of the layer order. I should add that I created my character in Photoshop by extracting an already created cartoon character from a JPEG, then breaking that illustration into its various body parts players before importing it into Anime studio. So what am I missing?

Are you adding bones inside the Bone layer?
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Thanks for responding
I think I needed to bind the bones to the layers, which I am now experimenting with and it seems to work better. I am trying to make a simple walking animation (nothing complex, using one bone for each leg). After being able to manipulating the leg bones for a natural first movement at 0 Frames, when I go to Frame 1 I only seem to be able to move the layers horizontally resulting in them separating. Would you know what I am doing wrong here?

Sounds like you're using the wrong tool. Don't use the 'Manipulate Bones' tool past frame 0. Use the multipurpose rotate/scale/move tool instead.
