Go from front to 3/4 angle

Post by Micth Conners »

Hello,

I am new to anime studio but picking up quickly. My question is what would be the most efficient way to have a rigged character body change from a front angle to 3/4 or even to a full side shot. At first i tried smart bone dials, and i have been able to do head turns based on moving vectors, but when i try to make the dial control other bones, i get no results. Are smart bone dials even supposed to move other bones? Or would switch layers be the way to go and i just draw and rig different angles of a character? Any insight would be most appreciated, thanks

This is the tried-and-true method, especially if you are new to AS and want to get up and running quickly.

As for alternative methods, search through the subforums "How Do I?" and "Tips & Techniques". There are many ways to achieve this so be prepared to experiment. Some threads to get you started:
