Particle & Bones Constraints Window Problems

Post by Toontoonz »

When one clicks on the Particle Options button the window pops down and blocks the good portion of the view of the screen. It can´t be moved. The result? One can´t see what changes in the particle parameters are doing on the screen. Totally irritating.

Can´t this window pop open somewhere else? Can´t it be moveable - as in so the user can move it out of the way so it doesn´t block the screen?
And can´t there be a close window button on the window?

The same with the Bones Constraints main screen blocking window.
-------------------------------------------

Both these windows have different ways to close them- With Particle Options one must click on the main screen window - which means one closes it unintentionallly quite a lot.
Bones Constraints only closes if one clicks on the "Close" button.
Can´t there be a standard window closing method in Moho?

-----------

Wonder why these things couldn´t be put up in the main menu and open a new, moveable window when clicked on?

Well, one can easily move the Editor-View out of the way (Control-Drag)
You might have to resize your window if necessary.

I must be using a different version of Moho than you - have the PC version.
Control-Drag does nothing in my version....or I am not doing it right.

The Particle pop-up window and bones constraint pop-up windows can´t be moved in my copy - they are unmoveably attached to the Editor view (or Working Area as Moho calls it) window.

If the Particle window is open and I click anywhere on the work area it disappears.

The only way around is to first use the hand (pan) tool and move the working area off to one side or use the magnifying glass to reduce the work area view so it is not covered by the Particle window or Bones constraint window. Very clumsy way to work.

Yes, you're right - the Bone-Constraints-Window stays open
when you move the Editor-View - but the Particle-Options-Window doesn't.
One still has to open it again after resizing the window.
I'm using OSX on the Mac with a Wacom Board and Control-Drag
moves and Control/Shift-Drag scales my view.
Hope there are such handy shortcuts for PC as well.

Why can the layers, tools, style, timeline and action windows be a moveable windows in Moho, but not the bones constraint, particles and probably a couple other windows I forgot about?

I could not imagine working with Photoshop or other graphics program and some fixed, giant window pops open, latching onto the graphic I am working on, obscurring the view of the graphic and then not being able to move this window out of the way.
Plus having a unstandardized, different method of closing for windows seems a bit...well, seems a bit 1980s when MacDraw and the first vector drawing programs came out for Mac and PC computers.
