No such thing as a bad tutorial for AS in my opinion. As long as it shows how others use it, I'm always down to watch.
Give this one a shot. Take that chain, as it is, but then establish the stroke like this: set the color of it to white, reduce the opacity, but then go down into effects and apply soft edge and adjust the level of it accordingly so you have a good balance of visibility and opacity, and just draw it directly over the chain. That way the glow is applied directly over the chain and not just around it and really accentuates its luster.
