Shooting musical notes?
]Mac Anime studio Pro 11.[/color][/u][/b]
I'd like to shoot notes out of the end of a guitar body as it moves thru and spins in a scene. I can not figure out how to do it without leaving all the notes visible.
Any help is appreciated. New to animation.Below is a link to an example of what I'm trying.

Re: Shooting musical notes?
for a start try:
> use standard brush 538 (quarter note / crotchet) on a stroke-only path.
> use curve exposure to reveal the path
> have the guitar on a layer and use follow path along the note stroke to make that layer track along the path.
obviously, you'll need to set the start / end percentages to match; and take care with the layer origin of the guitar.
if that's not clear just say and I'll post an example.

Re: Shooting musical notes?
I was just about to post what hayasidist has suggested. This would be the best way of doing it.
I've created a demo here: http://www.animestudiotutor.com/link/306/

Re: Shooting musical notes?
@ jezjones29 and @ hayasidist: I was making some headway with particles but now that I just received notice of your posts (it's morning here in Annapolis USA.) I will give this a shot. I like the results of hayasidist example. Thank you both for you help. Hopefully I will get the concept easily, I can be pretty dense.

Re: Shooting musical notes?
I'm making some headway but the notes do not look like (note exhaust ) coming from the guitar, can't figure it out I read the follow path parts in the Manual and studied the file that jezjones29 sent but like I said I can be pretty dense at times. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Almost there. Start the guitar sooner (not from 0, more like 10 on the path following settings). And move it above the note
layer.
layer.

Re: Shooting musical notes?
One more question I have the notes following the guitar thank you for your help.
Now how do I make the notes disappear after the guitar moves through? Something like reverse stroke a long path.
I don't know. Like I say I can be dense and I'm new.

Re: Shooting musical notes?
If you open my example, and click on the line in the 'Path and notes' layer with the 'Stroke Exposure' tool, you'll see that at frame 1 the 'Start percentage' is set to 0, and at frame 168 it's 100.
This way Anime Studio will move the start of the line from 0 to 100 between the keyframes automatically.

Just a quick note here - I've looked at the file and got it working.
Good luck uncle808us with your animation.
