Trouble with audio speeding up...or slowing down
So I have a wav file I am trying to use to animate...and its not cut EXACTLY where I need it to be, so I click the sequencer tab, click on the wav file, and drag it to the left to move it to the part of the audio I am going to animate. The only problem is, when I do this, for some reason it speeds up the audio into what sounds like fast forward. And the whole animation speeds up so I can't make accurate animation. Can anybody help me with this? I just want to slide the audio file so it starts 5 seconds into the clip, and my scene starts its animation at that point. Its a really precise starting point so its hard for me to recut the audio. Easier to just slide it around in anime studio, done it before with no issues. wondering why its speeding up.
Re: Trouble with audio speeding up...or slowing down
That's really bizarre.
Have you tried converting it to another format? If you don't have an audio editor, try Audacity. If it still doesn't sync up, you might add 5 seconds of silence at the head so the audio will line up on import.
I usually output my audio clips directly from my animatic in Vegas. I output a separate audio clip for each scene range on my timeline so I have perfect frame accuracy when I bring the clip into ASP.
Of course, you should make sure the frame rates match between the two programs or the audio play at the incorrect speed. Hmm, maybe that's what's happening on your end?

Re: Trouble with audio speeding up...or slowing down
Figured it out, somehow the frame rate was changed to 22fps rather than 24. So it was speeding everything up. Not sure how that happened but I fixed it and got it done. Thanks for the tips.
