Masking lips
Hello everybody, I was trying to do add a mask to a mouth, I know the usual process for simple mouth shapes, but the mouth I've drawn contains coloured upper and lower lips. The problem here is when I mask it you can see the teeth between the lips so they become transparent but I want them be shown only in the hole between the lips.
Re: Masking lips
I'm still learning how to use masks myself, but this works for me:
Mouth (Switch Layer)
>> MBP (or whatever phoneme you want; Group Layer)
>>>>Lips (choose "Don't Mask this Layer")
>>>>Inside Mouth (choose "Mask this Layer"; teeth go here)
>>>>Mask (choose "+ Add to Mask"; the shape of the mouth hole goes here)
Repeat for each phoneme.
Hope this helps.

Re: Masking lips
So you mean that I should make a layer for the hole which is the throat and another one for the lips? I had that idea but I thought you could do it simpler because when you make it another shape for the switch layers you have to modify both layers, is it that right?
Re: Masking lips
Yes, that's right, you would have to modify the lips layer and the mouth-hole layer separately. If you discover a way of doing what you want with fewer layers, please post the solution, because I'd like to know.
