I'm in the market for a digital SLR camera. I'm thinking of getting a Canon Digital Rebal 8.0mpxl. From what i've seen and heard so far, it's about the best compromise between price and quality.
I want something that's gonna take good crisp photos, and also have some depth to it. But i dont really want to spend much more than 800-1000$ (Canadian Dollars, which equals about 700-900$ US)
Any suggestions?

Good Digital Cameras

stephklein,
I own a canon Power Shot Pro 1. Not what you are talking about, however it is an 8megp camera. I am very satisfied with it. have a web site where you can see (in downgraded size and quality) the reason I like it.
You should really know in advance what your skill level is and how the camera is going to be used. There are so many choices out there and the quality and price differiential is really great.
I also do a great deal of post processing using PhotoShopCS2.
