Final render character is still

Post by thudjie »

Hi,
I've just created a very simple walking sequence using a character generated from the character wizard.
It doesn't do a lot , mainly walks from left to right. This works in the application and also in the preview animation but when I go to render a final animation it stays still.
I have tried with GPU enabled and disabled on the off chance that could make a difference but the result is the same.
I'm using ASP 11.2.1 64-bit
This should be a link to the file:

Hi,

I took a look at your scene and, except for a single eye blink, there doesn't appear to be any keyframes in your scene at all.

You need to copy or reference the action to the mainline.

Oh, duh...I had my Actions panel closed so I didn't see the Actions. :P

Yes, the Actions panel is just a place to store keyframes--it's kinda like a library for poses and motions.

To create an animation for rendering, you need to keyframe your character directly on the main timeline (Mainline) or paste in an action from the Actions panel using either the Insert Copy or Insert Reference buttons. Copy just copies the keyframes to the timeline as if they were created there. Reference maintains a link with the original keyframes (in the Actions panel) so if you edit the original, ASP will update the pasted reference keyframes.
