my character is floating away
I have a character that flies, on frame zero he's on the ground on frame 500 he is on the ground but starts to leave the ground. my problem is when I rewind to review this step he starts to 'float" away before the point I want him too. Why? and how do I stop this from happening? I've tried a" reset all bones" at frame 499 but that doesn't seem to solve the problem, any thoughts? What am I missing?

Re: my character is floating away
what are you using to make him fly? bones? layer translate? It will be a keying issue.
the typical keys are:
frame 0: ground position (for bone / layer position ... whatever you're using to make him move)
when he starts to fly, key the ground position IMMEDIATELY before takeoff
frame to start flying: ground position
frames during flight: wherever ...
frame to land: ground position
if he then starts to fly again key the ground position IMMEDIATELY before takeoff.
if he floats after the last landing that you think you've keyed, chances are there's a key later in the timeline... find it and, depending on what you want, delete it or key "ground" (at whatever point is right) some time before it
