Radial emission from particle layer

Post by Greenlaw »

Is it possible to make a Particle layer in Moho emit radially towards camera? Kinda like a fireworks blossom but without the effect of gravity? This should like a very simple use of an emitter but I can't seem to get the Moho Particle Layer to do this.

I can turn to AE and use Trapcode Particular for this but I was hoping to do this in Moho since it needs to interact with the character and this would be easier to set up with the character.

Any helpful info is appreciated.

is this what you want??

particle layer rotated 90 about y
source layer(s) rotated by -90 about x and y

particle depth / x / y all (say) .7

Make the particle emit in one direction, then rotate the particle layer to point that at the camera and counter-rotate the sublayers, so they still look the same.

EDIT: Paul beat me to it.

Oh, duh! Yes, that's what I needed. I forgot the emitter layer itself exists in 3D space and didn't even think about turning it.

Thanks guys! :D
