Importing objects....styles issue.

Post by Daners »

I have a project I am working on and I am importing pre-made characters into scenes I created. However when I import on character, with a style named something like "skin", the imported character sometimes just steals the style from a character already imported into the project. Then I have to open that rig, go in and manually adjust the colors. For example, I have a character with a yellow shirt. Then I import a character whos shirt is blue, but when the object loads into the scene, his shirt turns from blue to yellow (like the other character already in the scene). Is there a simple way to avoid this?
Thanks in advance.

Ugh! Sorry to hear that.

This is one reason why I add a short prefix to style names indicating the show or the character the style belongs to, but I know that doesn't help you in your situation. I think all you can do is open the character separately before you import it and change the names of its styles to something less generic.
